FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

I’ve never done this before! What is the normal process like for getting microbladed?
Please click HERE to review our entire process from A – Z. For a quick overview however… Step 1: Consultation Step 2: Shaping & Pre-Draw Step 3: Color Step 4: Numbing Step 5: Microblading Step 6: Reveal Step 7: Touchup Step 8: Annual Color Boost

How long will my microbladed eyebrows last?
This varies from person to person, however, after your 1st touch up session you can expect your eyebrows to last on your face for up to 3 years! We recommend coming back once a year for your annual color boost—to keep your eyebrows looking fresh—but that’s up to you!

How long does it take to complete the procedure?
The first time you come in takes the longest as we have to go over everything with you and map out your dream brows. This first appointment will typically take from 2 – 4 hours. Afterwards your second appointment (touch up appointment) that takes place roughly 1 month after your first appointment usually takes around 1/2 the amount of time as your first appointment.

Does the procedure hurt? I’ve heard that it is very painful!
We do our absolute best to make sure that your procedure is pain-free and that you are extremely comfortable during your appointment. We ensure this by applying numbing cream to your eyebrows & re-applying numbing cream throughout the procedure. (This is something that 90% of other microblading artists will NOT do for you because it is very time consuming—but we want you to be comfortable first and foremost.) Most of our clients fall asleep listening to nice music while getting their brows done.

How long is the recovery or healing time?
For most people it will take roughly 3-5 days for your brows to heal. During that time you must follow our “after patient care” instructions to: 1) Prevent any sort of infection & 2) Protect the pigment in your brows. Your brows will look “WAY TOO DARK & BIG!!!” for the first few days after the procedure. Do not worry. The color will fade a lot and your brows will shrink over the course of the next few days as your brows heal. Trust us.

When will I see the final results of my new brows?
You will notice your brand-new, gorgeous brows immediately after the procedure is done. Then over the course of the next week your brows will gradually shrink and lighten up. 2-3 weeks after your procedure you will see the finished product of your brows before your 1st touch up. This is when your brows are not “set in stone” so to speak. After 4-5 weeks you will come back to us, let us know what you like and if you want to make any changes. (NOTE: 99% of clients tell us that they want their brows BIGGER & DARKER when they come back for their second appointment.) After this second appointment, once your brows are done healing, those are the brows that will be on your face for the next 1-3 years!

How do you choose what shape to make my brows?
We choose an eyebrow shape and style together that fits your face. Before we begin, you will tell us what you prefer/what you like seeing. Then we will measure your face to find out the exact proportions & angles of your face. Then I will sketch a design of what the brows will look like on your face. If you do not like them, then we will erase them and start over. Your satisfaction is literally guaranteed!

How do you choose what color to make my brows?
We have a wide assortment of colors to pick from. I will work on blending together these pigments until it is a perfect match of your hair color that complements your complexion.

What types of pigments do you use?
We only use organic Tina Davies pigments. (Literally the #1 pigment in the industry.)

What will my brows look like immediately after the procedure?
Your brows may be swollen and red, or perfectly fine, it really depends on how sensitive your skin is. All of it is completely normal. Your brows will look MUCH DARKER & MUCH LARGER than you thought they would. Again, this is normal and they will fade. Trust the process.

Will my brows fade?
Yes. As time goes on your skin will fade any pigment that you out into it. Microblading uses “semi-permanent” pigment that does fade over time, but even tattoo artists that use “permanent” pigment will have their pigment fade over time as your skin is exposed to sunlight and the elements. With that being said. You can expect your brows to last for up to 3 years on your face. And by simply doing a yearly color boost (aka touchup) you can maintain perfect brows indefinitely!

Can I have my brows microbladed if I’m pregnant?
No, you cannot have any of our treatments done if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Does it hurt afterwards?
Your brows can feel a little sore for the first few hours and tender for a few days after the procedure while they are healing.

Will my Microbladed Eyebrows look fake?
N0! Not at all! Microblading & Semi-Permanent makeup in general are done by professionals using cosmetic tattooing tools with extreme precision that all but guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. (When done by an experienced professional.) Honestly, semi-permanent microblading looks more natural and nicer than most makeup people use on their face.

What if I don’t like it?
We carefully screen all of our clients and work with them to create the perfect set of brows for them so you not liking it is highly unlikely. With that being said, this is also why we do these procedures in 2 sessions. The first session creates the foundation and the second session locks it in. When you come back for your second session we can make any adjustments you would like.

Are there any side effects during or after the procedure?
During the procedure there may be some bleeding. After the procedure there may be some swelling and tenderness to the touch. The pigments we use are specifically created to be hypoallergenic and easy on the body.
